Seeking God Isn’t Mystical: It Requires Study

  2. In the intro of your sermon you imply that it is mysticism for God to speak to us in dreams. Would you categorize Daniel, Jacob, Salomon, Joseph, etc as mystics? God clearly spoke through dreams and visions throughout the old and new testament. I agree that all truth and revelation must be weighed according to scripture, but I sure see a whole lot of what you would describe as “mysticism” throughout the entirety of scripture. I believe in the inerrancy of the word, but I also believe that God has and still does use some very “mystical” ways of communicating with his people. Thoughts?
